Dog care

Keep the dog clean. Every day, comb the hair with a sparse comb, and smooth-haired dogs with a stiff hair brush. At the same time, dirt and dust are removed, as well as dead hair (they renew themselves twice a year). A dog should be washed rarely, once every 35-45 days, and not with soap, because it washes away the protective grease film on the skin; therefore, the animal’s hair loses its luster, the hair becomes brittle, worse retain heat. In addition, itching, scratching, and, as a result, skin diseases can appear.

It is best to use zoo shampoo or foam of diluted Baby Soap. During bathing, in order to avoid water getting into the ears, cotton swabs soaked in cream should be inserted into the ear canal. If necessary (from souring, inflammation), the eyes should be washed with a 2-3% solution of boric acid (1 hour spoon in a glass of boiled water). Once a week, it is recommended to wipe your ears with a 10% solution of tannin alcohol. The claws of the puppy are trimmed as needed, but they are done very carefully so as not to injure the soft tissues of the paws and cause bleeding. It is better to do this periodically in a veterinary clinic.
The growing hair in dogs of some breeds is trimmed, others are plucked out (this is called trimming). If you do not have sufficient experience in cutting animals, contact a special hairdresser, whose address can be found in the nearest dog breeding club.
From the age of one month, the puppy is taught to walk on demand: at first 4-5 times a day, and later at least two. As soon as he grows up, you need to walk at least an hour with him in the morning and evening, providing the opportunity to frolic, run. However, leaving a dog unattended during a walk is doom to her misfortune: she can fall into the trap for stray dogs, become a victim of an accident, be stolen, and also communicate with unowned animals and become infected with an infectious disease.
A puppy is raised literally from the first day of stay in the house. The main thing is a reasonable combination of patience, affection and exactingness. You can’t beat a puppy, for spite you can only spank it lightly. If the pet falls asleep badly, you need to warm it, put a heating pad wrapped in cloth under it, but in no case take it to your bed or in your arms. Your ward will quickly get used to it and henceforth will not want to rest on their own. You should not cover him with a blanket, because when the covers slip, the puppy will whimper plaintively and involuntarily wake the owner (who probably will not express enthusiasm!).
Having determined the place, a puppy should be put there several times, saying: Place, place! And do it every day until he gets used to it. Gradually, as they grow up, the number of teams increase. First of all, it concerns the prohibitive: It is impossible !, Fu !, then the imperative: Come to me !, Sit !, Lie !, Aport !, Show your teeth! etc.
It is important to accustom the baby to cleanliness. If you notice that the puppy sits down in place, sniffs the floor intensely, you need to immediately bring him to the yard, even if he has already managed to stain.
From 3-4 months of age it is necessary to begin acquaintance of a puppy with a collar, from 5 – to accustom to a muzzle. Do this, gradually increasing the time the animal stays in such armor.
